Tailor Ed and his 3 sons

Old Tailor Ed has 3 sons, Adam, Bobby and Chris,

One day, he assigned a client for each of his son, and asked them to make a suit for them.

So, the sons went ahead start to work on their project with their clients.

3 months passed, Chris try to show his customer the unfinished product. But the customer told him that he changed mind and decided not to buy the suit.

During the dinner time, Chris told his father and 2 brothers about the customer backing out. Bobby picked it up by say, “Chris, actually I did not make much progress, maybe it is better if I give up what I have been doing and take over the suit  you made for your customer and make it fit to my customer. The old Ed was not happy but accepted the fact that Bobby did not make much progress and maybe taking over Chris’s unfinished product is not a bad idea.

Another month passed, when Adam went to his customer to show the finished product. The customer conducted a very good third party review and come out with a long list. The family worked together for weeks and came out with a list of strategies for each of the findings. When that was presented to the customer, the customer said “No, I am not going to accept it. If you can come out with something good, I can wait.”

At the dinner table, the situation was discussed in length. Bobby suggested to Adam, why not you also join me for the work I am working for my customer, and when I am done, you make a copy of it and make some changes then make it for your customer. And this time we will do it in different way; we use a tailor factory to do it. We just tell the tailor factory what we want; the factory will do the work…
The old Ed did not understand fully what Bobby was talking about, but find he did not have better idea… any way, he is quite old… so Ed said to his sons, okay, you guys give it a try, but this time make sure you deliver.
